Antonio Prišćan
Mr. Antonio Prišćan was born in 1968 in Zagreb. Already during high school- and university education he gained the first knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship, computer assembly and software development. He graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, majoring in telecommunications and informatics.
He led IT system development projects in the company MikroPROM, after which he was the Head of IT in the Croatian Securities Commission (today HANFA). In 2001, he returned to telecommunications at Vipnet as the Head of the product development team for business users. The partnership with Vodafone brought projects led at the level of the Mobilkom Austria Group. In 2005 he moved to Verso, the leading system integrator in the region, where he performed various roles – from marketing director, business consultant to business development director. He has worked in a series of transformation projects in telecoms with the roles of project manager, mentor, change management coordinator and project director. He currently works in the strategic sales and business development department of the Verso Altima Group.
Mr. Prišćan’s specialty are long-term, transformation projects with international virtual teams deployed around the world. He advocates the principle of common sense in the use of project management tools and methods, taking the most useful practices from Agile and Waterfall Project Management, adapted to the situation, the client and his culture, environment and contractors involved, and stakeholder expectations.
He has been the Secretary of the Croatian branch of the PMI Project Managers’ Association for many years, a lecturer and promotor of the project management profession (Cognita, Experta, Algebra, Praxis).
