Domagoj Troha

Mr. Troha graduated from the Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb, and is certified EU Funds Project Manager. He is a member of the Croatian Chamber of Forestry and Wood Technology Engineers and the Croatian Forestry Society.
From 2001 to 2016 he was employed by Hrvatske šume d.o.o. where he carried out numerous projects focusing largely on the cultivation and protection of forest ecosystems. In the Service for Strategic Development in Hrvatske šume d.o.o. he worked as a project team leader for the preparation and implementation of EU projects.

Currently he is the director of SALIX PLAN d.o.o., company specialized in forest management, services and consulting in the forestry and wood industry.
In the last few years he has gained significant experience in designing and preparing projects co-financed by the European Union, especially within the IPA cross-border cooperation program on environmental protection and the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020. He was the leader of the project team for the preparation of a large regional project of forest protection and restoration (“NATURAVITA”), co-financed by the Cohesion Fund in the EU financial perspective 2014-2020.

He was a member of the working group for the development of the Rural Development Program of the Republic of Croatia for the period 2014-2020 where he participated in the definition and development of forestry and wood industry measures (Sub-measure 4.3. “Support for investment in infrastructure related to the development, modernization and adaptation of agriculture and forestry”, Sub-measure 8.5. “Support for investment in improving resilience and environmental value of forest eco-systems”, Sub-measure 8.6 “Support for investments in forest technologies and in the processing, mobilization and marketing of forest products”).
He is also a member of the working group for the development of the new Forestry Strategy of the Republic of Croatia 2016-2030, and was a member of the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Rural Development Program of the Republic of Croatia 2014-2020.

Mr. Troha participated in the preparation of planning and programming documents (Partnership Agreement, Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020), on the basis of which, projects contributing to the preservation and protection of the environment and nature and the development of small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Croatia will be financed from the European Structural and Investment Funds.

He is a lecturer at various project management training programs teaching subjects related to the preparation and management of EU funded projects at the Institute of Management-IZM, Business School Experta, Zagreb Development Agency-RAZA and Zagreb Blue Office-Entrepreneurship Centre.
